InboxOpsome
In developmentSelf-hosted email warmup.
InboxOpsome builds sender reputation for new domains and mailboxes before you send anything that matters. It runs on your own machine or VPS, with no warmup SaaS: mail flows only through the SMTP and inbound providers you choose.
The problem
New domains and mailboxes start with no sender reputation. Warming them up usually means a SaaS tool, per-seat fees, and handing your reputation data to a third party.
What it does
Cross-domain warmup network
For each domain you own, it creates a set of inboxes with realistic personas and sends natural-looking mail between them, only across different domains, at random times inside a daytime window.
Human-paced replies
Replies arrive in the same thread after a human-like delay of 30 minutes to 4 hours. It answers only its own network’s mail and ignores everything else.
28-day ramp
Each inbox ramps over 28 sending days, from 5 to 35 messages a day, then holds steady. Weekends and downtime pause the ramp instead of advancing it, and it picks up where it left off after a restart.
Dashboard and MCP server
A web dashboard with a mailbox pool view, an onboarding wizard with DNS pre-flight checks (MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC), SMTP presets with connection tests, and a live activity log. An MCP server lets AI agents check status, onboard domains and test SMTP.
Benefits
- You own the data and the infrastructure, with no per-seat fees.
- Cheap to run: a small Python runtime on any always-on machine, a VPS or a mini PC.
- Works with any SMTP provider, including Amazon SES, Postmark, Mailgun, Brevo, SendGrid and Resend.
- Mailbox and SMTP passwords are stored encrypted, and the dashboard is password-protected and listens only on the local machine by default.
- Built on a fork of the open-source darkzwarmer project.
How it works
-
Domains and DNS
You need two or more domains you own, an outbound SMTP provider, and SPF, DKIM and DMARC records. The onboarding wizard checks them.
-
Inbound mail
Each domain receives mail through an IMAP catch-all mailbox or Resend inbound. Resend inbound also needs a small serverless webhook and a Redis queue.
-
Install
It is installed on your machine or VPS, with Python or as a container, and the wizard generates the inboxes.
-
Ramp
The 28-day ramp runs on its own, and you follow it in the dashboard.

Status: In development
What it isn’t
- The app is self-hosted. It needs an always-on machine, your own domains, your own SMTP account and an inbound mail setup.
- Only for domains and mailboxes you own. It never emails third parties and must not be used for spam.
- Warmup builds reputation; it is not a promise of inbox placement.
- Sending pauses at weekends, and daily volume is capped by your SMTP provider’s quota.
- Remote access to the dashboard needs a TLS reverse proxy.
